Forbes named the most reliable banks in Russia

UFA, 17 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. Forbes has presented an annual rating of the most reliable banks in Russia.

According to the version of Forbes, the Citibank belonging to the American Citigroup won the first place. As of February 1 this year, its assets equaled 411.2 billion rubles. It is on the 22nd place in the Russian banking system in terms of assets.

Nordea Bank, which assets amounted to 406.3 billion rubles, is the second in the list of the most reliable banks. In terms of assets it occupies the 25th place in the banking system of the country.

HSBC bank closes the top three. Its assets amounted to 81.9 billion rubles. It is on the 80th place in the Russian banking system in terms of assets.

The most reliable banks in Russia are subsidiaries of foreign banks, Forbes reports. The Russia's international ratings are still at the "junk" level. Sberbank is the only Russian bank, which has retained an investment grade rating. It ranks 10th in the list of the most reliable banks.
