Rustem Khamitov has met with KMEW CEO Yusaku Kodama

UFA, 11 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with delegation of the Japanese company KMEW headed by the CEO Yusaku Kodama. The sides discussed prospects of cooperation and implementation of investment projects in the territory of Bashkortostan.
“We are a Japanese company that manufactures fiber cement products. We have been working in the Russian market since 2009, and during that time we have studied extensively the needs of construction market,” said Yusaku Kodama. “We would like to implement a production project in the republic. And we will deeply and carefully examine where and how it would be better to place local production facilities.”
According to the General Director of JSC "Development Corporation of Bashkortostan Republic" Artem Kireev one of the industrial parks is considered now as a place for the future production facilities.
The KMEW Company was founded over 30 years ago through the merger of two leading Japanese manufacturers of building materials for housing construction - Kubota and Panasonic. The main office is located in Osaka (Japan). It has seven factories, and an independent research and development centre.
Kubota Corporation was founded in 1890. Since 1960, it manufactures products from pipes to agricultural machinery. It is a leading company in the Japanese industry of exterior building materials, including roofing materials, and materials for the exterior walls.
Matsushitadenko Exterior Works, Ltd. (Now - Panasonic Corporation) has developed a revolutionary housing exterior building materials, including a series of materials for the exterior walls.
