Problems with milk supplies and increase in its price are not expected in Bashkiria - Ministry of Agriculture
UFA, 10 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan commented on reports about possible problems with supply of milk in Russia and increase in its prices up to 10 percent.
As reported today by the federal media, since March this year the Ministry of Agriculture of the country ordered the manufacturers of packaged milk to have veterinary accompanying documents on it. Members of the dairy market asked the federal government to withdraw this order, as the industry unreadiness to comply with this requirement may lead to suspension of production and cessation of shipments of milk to stores across the country.
"In general, there is mutual understanding between manufacturers and our republican veterinary service. Therefore, questions with documents are mostly solved”, said the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolai Kovalenko at a news conference in Ufa, on Wednesday.
Thus, as the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic assured journalists "milk prices growth is not expected so far".
