UMPO and USATU signed a bilateral decision on target interaction

UFA, 26 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. The UMPO Managing Director Eugene Semivelichenko and the USATU (Ufa State Aviation Technical University) Rector Nikolai Krioni signed a bilateral decision of the target interaction in 2016-2020, the press service of UMPO informs.

The cooperation relates to research and development activities in the field of parts and systems of aircraft engines creation and development of their production technologies. The UMPO has already developed jointly with USATU a number of technologies that have been applied in the advanced engine building. This is production of blisks by linear friction welding, manufacturing of high-precision casting equipment, processing technology of rotor blades of the high and low pressure compressor by nitrogen ion implantation method. Work is underway to develop the technology of plasma-electrolytic polishing. Another important area of cooperation is training of highly qualified engineers for production.

The signing of bilateral decision on cooperation took place during the UMPO delegation visit to Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

PJSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (part of the United Engine Building Corporation) is the largest manufacturer of aircraft engines in Russia. The main activities are development, production, maintenance and repair of turbo-jet aircraft engines and gas-pumping units, manufacture and repair of helicopter units.

JSC "United Engine Building Corporation" (part of the Rostec state corporation) is an integrated structure, specialized in development, serial production and maintenance of engines for military and civil aviation, space programs and the Navy, as well as for oil and gas industry and energy sector. Proceeds of the holding in 2014 amounted to 199.9 billion rubles.

Rostec is the Russian state-owned corporation established in 2007 to promote development, production and export of high-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. Rostec companies are located in the territory of 60 subjects of the Russian Federation and supply products to the markets of over 70 countries. Rostec revenues in 2014 amounted to 964.5 billion rubles. The total amount of tax deductions was 147.8 billion rubles.
