Bashkiria ranked fifth in Russia in terms of housing construction

According to Rosstat (Federal State Statistics Service) data, 83.8 million sq. m of housing were commissioned in Russia in 2015, which accounted for 99.5 percent of the corresponding period in 2014 (84.2 million sq. m). Among the subjects of the country the largest volumes of housing construction were demonstrated in the Moscow Region with 10.1 percent of housing from the total housing area across Russia, the Krasnodar Region - 5.5 percent, Moscow - 4.6, St. Petersburg – 3.6, Bashkortostan – 3.2, the Novosibirsk Region - 3.1, Sverdlovsk Region - 3, Tatarstan and Rostov Region - by 2.9, Leningrad Region - 2.8, Samara Region - 2.6, Tyumen Region (without autonomous districts) - 2.5, Dagestan - 2.1. Slightly less than half of the total area of housing put into operation in Russia is built in these regions.

In the Volga Federal District 16912.3 thousand sq. m were commissioned (100.3 percent in 2014). Bashkortostan became the leader of the Volga Federal District in construction of residential buildings - 2690.7 thousand sq. m (101.5 percent), followed by Tatarstan - 2405.5 (100) and the Samara region - 2211.7 (117.1).
