Bashkiria in the top ten Russian regions on industrial potential

UFA, 1 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Bashkortostan is one of the major subjects of the Russian Federation with strong industrial potential. According to preliminary data, the republic with the index of 1.3 trillion rubles, ranks ninth among the regions of the country having provided 2,7 percent of the Russian volume of shipped goods of own production in the industrial sector in 2015.

The production index in the past year compared to the year 2014 was 101 percent in the region against 96.6 percent in Russia.

As for the output of a number of major industrial products traditionally our republic occupies a dominant position in the Russian market. Bashkortostan is the leader in production of light petroleum products, soda ash, benzene, thermally polished glass, materials for flooring, concrete mixers, helicopters, is the sole producer of truck-mounted concrete pumps.

Statisticians mark that the republic is in the second place among the subjects of the country in terms of oil production received for processing, production of plastics in primary forms, ethylene, xylene, styrene, synthetic rubber, technological lime, roofing and waterproofing materials, twisted and steel wire, on the third place on production of caustic soda, sulfur, universal motors.
