Bashkortostan - Volga Federal District leader in housing construction

UFA, 21 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Bashkortostan is among leaders in commissioning apartment houses and takes the fifth place in housing construction per capita in Volga Federal District. According to the data of Bashkir Statistics Agency, in the republic 34.5 thousand apartments with a total area of 2690.7 thousand sq. m were put into operation due to all sources of financing in 2015. The index rose by 1.5% to the same period of the last year. 661 sq. m of housing were built per 1000 people.

The population commissioned 13.7 thousand houses with total area of 1571.5 thousand sq. m at its own expense and with the help of loans. This figure fell by 7% compared with last year. Their share was 58.4% in the structure of housing. The volume of housing put into operation by the enterprises and organizations of the republic increased by 16.4% and amounted to 1119.2 thousand sq. m. Of these, 117.8 thousand sq. m (10.5%) meet the standards of economy-class housing.
