Top 15 popular foreign destinations for Russians in 2016 is forecasted by momondo

UFA, 19 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. Experts of the metasearch momondo made the Top 15 foreign destinations that would be popular among Russians in 2016. To do this, they analyzed about 90 million requests for air travel from Russia made in the period from January 1, 2014 to 31 December 2015. This was reported by the momondo representatives to Bashinform News Agency.

Bulgaria opens the rating. The growth in demand for travelling to this country increased by 40% in 2015. The most low-cost period for the flight from Moscow to Bulgaria, according to the "Survey of prices» by momondo is from January 18 to 24. Bulgaria is followed by Montenegro (from February 8 to 14), Georgia (from March 14 to 20), Moldova (from November 7 to 13), Cyprus (from January 25 to 31), Vietnam (from September 26 to October 2).

The demand for air travel to Armenia and Hungary (the cheapest prices from Moscow - from October 17 to 23), Azerbaijan (from July 18 to 24), Greece (from December 5 to 11) , Poland (from April 11 to 17), Israel (January 25 to 31)increased by more than ten percent last year.

The Top 15 popular foreign destinations for Russians is rounded out by Sri Lanka (from May 23 to 29), Italy (from February 8 to 14) and India (from May 16 to 22).

Experts advise practical travelers to buy tickets within Russia on average 55 days before the departure date. Thus it is possible to save up to 12% of the funds. The minimum price for overseas flights from Russian airports recorded on average 45 days before the departure, which can reduce costs by about 19%, the representative of the travel metasearch momondo in Russia Irina Riabovol informs.
