More than 80% of Russians mark an increase in fruit and vegetables prices - VCIOM

UFA, 13 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. According to the Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VCIOM), 82% of citizens mark an increase in fruit and vegetables prices. 75% noticed quite a sizeable rise in meat price, 72% - in dairy products. The increase in bread price is fixed by 66% of respondents, sugar - 62%, cereals and pasta - 61%.

Among the services and non-food products 74% of Russians observe rise in utilities prices, 54% - an increase in gasoline prices. Less significant was increase in tickets experienced by 43% of respondents.

According to the respondents, the growth rate of basic products and services prices at the end of the last year was significantly lower than at the beginning. Statisticians state that if a year ago, more than 50% of respondents spoke about a significant increase in the prices, today, their share has fallen markedly. The number of those who mark rather a small prices rise, or prices stabilization increased.
