Economic situation is stable and controllable in Bashkortostan - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 13 January 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alexander Smirnov/. Bashkortostan ended the year quite well according to key macroeconomic indicators. This was stated by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov at the solemn meeting devoted to the Day of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

The Head of the Republic said that the execution of the budget amounted to 144.5 billion rubles, which was by 12 billion rubles more than in 2014. The expenditure part constituted 145 billion rubles. Thus, the budget deficit was reduced to the minimum values - no more than 500 million rubles.

The consolidated budget of the republic amounted to about 180 billion rubles, which was 10.7% higher than the figure of 2014.

The index of industrial production for the year amounted to approximately 101%. Investments in fixed assets reached 105-106% compared to the level of 2014. The republic is one of five best regions of the Russian Federation in terms of the gross regional product growth.

Among the problems the Head of the Republic named reduction of wages and incomes, as well as high inflation, which exceeded 10%. There is a tendency towards increasing unemployment, decrease in volume of trade and services.

“To improve the situation it is necessary to strengthen our common efforts in all areas, to provide high performance discipline, strict observance of the rule of law”, said Rustem Khamitov. “But in general, the economic situation in the republic is stable, reliable and controllable. And we have enough powers and resources to cope with the most difficult challenges.”
