Bashkortostan sold the republic’s stake in the Polief plant

UFA, 23 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. Bashkortostan sold the republic’s stake in the Polief plant. On December 22, an auction for sale of 17.5% stake of the share capital of the enterprise was held. 582,637,094 ordinary shares were traded for 476.3 million rubles.

The principal owner of the plant - the country's largest petrochemical concern "Sibur" became a purchaser, the newspaper "Kommersant" reports , citing a source in the republican Ministry of Land and Property Relations. Thus, the corporation has consolidated 100% of the Bashkir enterprise shares. Information on number of applicants and the final cost of the package is not available yet.

Polief – is the only Russian producer of purified terephthalic acid used for preparation of saturated polyesters, which are used in the manufacture of photographic and video tapes, food containers, in textile industry to create artificial fabrics and furs and other materials.
