Retail lending has decreased by 40% in Bashkortostan

UFA, 16 December 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. In January-October in Bashkiria banks issued loans to individuals for 108,99 billion rubles. Compared with the same period of the last year retail lending in the region has decreased by 40%, as follows from the statistics data of the republican department of the Central Bank.

The quality of the retail loan portfolio worsened. The overdue debt from the beginning of the year grew by more than one third, and as of November 1 amounted to 25.58 billion rubles. The share of overdue debt in the total lending has increased over this period from 6.3% to 9.4%.

In general across Russia the retail lending fell by 35%; the share of overdue increased from 5.9% to 8.2%.

Total 85 credit institutions are operating in the territory of Bashkortostan, five of them are republican ones.
