Import substitution policy has opened a new stage of cooperation between UMPO and USPTU

Senior representatives of UMPO (part of UEC of Rostec State Corporation) and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) discussed the prospects of cooperation at the enlarged meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council, the press service of the company informs.

"UMPO has always been interested in close relations with the university science. We are ready to open a new phase of cooperation with USPTU. The import substitution policy of our country contributes to it allowing us to update the project associated with production of gas turbine drives for gas pumping units AL-31ST. There are ambitious plans to increase production and sales of these products in Russia and abroad ", said the UMPO managing director Eugene Semivelichenko.

From his part, the rector of the university Ramil Bakhtizin stressed that USPTU had all necessary competences to offer UMPO cooperation on improving the reliability of the gas turbine drive AL-31ST and expanding its scope.

At the meeting USPTU representatives made presentations of projects on target vibration diagnostics and analysis of acoustic information, automatic control of oil air-cooling units and development of high-speed gas temperature gauges. All themes were recognized relevant and it was decided to form work plans on each of them.

Until the next year it is planned a return visit of the UMPO delegation at the university and in 2016, the company and the university are going to proceed with the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects.

JSC "United Engine Building Corporation" (part of the Rostec state corporation) is an integrated structure, specialized in development, serial production and maintenance of engines for military and civil aviation, space programs and the Navy, as well as for oil and gas industry and energy sector. Proceeds of the holding in 2014 amounted to 199.9 billion rubles.

Rostec is the Russian state-owned corporation established in 2007 to promote development, production and export of high-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. Rostec companies are located in the territory of 60 subjects of the Russian Federation and supply products to the markets of over 70 countries. Rostec revenues in 2014 amounted to 964.5 billion rubles. The total amount of tax deductions was 147.8 billion rubles.
