Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria has commented on the situation with raw materials for BSC

The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Rustem Mardanov at the briefing on Friday said that the solution of the raw material problem of Bashkir Soda Company (BSC) is a common goal for the Government of the region and for the company itself.

"We know about this problem. It exists for a certain period of time. Now the company and the Government of the Republic are searching ways to solve it, taking into account the legislation constraints for the separate fields. In particular, it concerns the Toratau, Yuraktau mountains, which are recognized in accordance with standard procedures, natural monuments and protected areas. Therefore, efforts are focused on finding alternative sources of raw materials, on exploring their possibilities, assessing their economic consequences. Such studies are being continued", said Rustem Mardanov.

At a meeting with reporters on November 12, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov said that the leadership of the republic would not support the development of Toratau, Yuraktau Mountains. As an alternative source of raw materials for Bashkir Soda Company it is proposed to use the Gumerovskoe field.
