Russia and China signed a contract on purchase of 24 multirole fighters Su-35

UFA, 19 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. Russia and China signed a major contract on purchase of 24 multipurpose fighters Su-35. The deal is estimated as at least $ 2 billion. The Chinese military were the first foreign customers of these aircraft: before they were exploited only by the Russian Air Force, the newspaper "Kommersant" reports on Thursday.

As Bashinform News Agency reported on November 18, citing the press service of the UMPO, representatives of the highest state and military leadership of China visited the Ufa Engine Industrial Association(UMPO) - one of the largest enterprises of the joint-stock company "United Engine Building Corporation" (UEC, member of Rostec state corporation). During the visit, representatives of the UEC and China discussed further cooperation in production, delivery and maintenance of aircraft equipment.

The willingness of the enterprise to work on promising projects, including the AL 41F 1C engines used at the latest Su-35 and serially produced at the plant, was confirmed at the meeting with China representatives by the UMPO Managing Director Eugene Semivelichenko.

JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" is the largest manufacturer of aircraft engines in Russia. The main activities are development, production, maintenance and repair of turbo-jet aircraft engines and gas-pumping units, manufacture and repair of helicopter units.

JSC "United Engine Building Corporation" (part of the Rostec state corporation) is an integrated structure, specialized in development, serial production and maintenance of engines for military and civil aviation, space programs and the Navy, as well as for oil and gas industry and energy sector. Proceeds of the holding in 2014 amounted to 199.9 billion rubles.

Rostec is the Russian state-owned corporation established in 2007 to promote development, production and export of high-tech industrial products for civil and military purposes. The Rostec includes such famous brands as "AvtoVAZ", "KAMAZ", "Russian Helicopters", VSMPO-AVISMA. Rostec companies are located in the territory of 60 subjects of the Russian Federation and supply products to the markets of over 70 countries. Rostec revenues in 2014 amounted to 964.5 billion rubles. The total amount of tax deductions was 147.8 billion rubles.
