According to VCIOM Russians cut spending and less often take loans from banks

UFA, 18 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. According to the Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VCIOM), the majority of Russians (62% in October) consider the current period as unfavourable for major purchases. With regard to lending, the citizens are even more definite - 82% believe that taking loans from the banks is inappropriate today. Although confidence in banks has grown considerably in recent months. The number of those who feels it necessary to deposit free funds on the account increased from 33 to 40% from August to October. At the same time the share of respondents advising to take savings from banks decreased to a minimum this year (35%).
Statistics say that two-thirds (65%) advise to cut spending. Their share in the last six months increased to the maximum. 24% believe that under the current situation it is better to spend wages on purchases and daily necessities.
