Bashkortostan and Jiangxi will implement 20 joint projects

UFA, 5 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/. The Ufa "VDNkH-Expo" centre hosts the Days of Economy and Culture of the Chinese Province of Jiangxi. The area of this region is a little larger than Bashkortostan with population of 45 million people.

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov recalled in his welcoming speech that as part of the "Volga - Yangtze" project (since 2013 it involves the Volga Federal District and five provinces of China located near the Blue River) our republic signed 35 agreements, 20 of them - with Jiangxi Province. Rustem Khamitov noted that cooperation between the Russian and Chinese regions was a good example of how the SCO and BRICS regions should interact.

The Governor of the Chinese province Lu Xinsheng named among the priority projects implemented in the republic a construction of the trade fair centre, creation of copper ore waste processing complex, cooperation in aircraft engine and humanitarian cooperation, including exchange of students.

In addition, in the regions under the initiative of the Governor of Jiangxi representative offices will be opened, which should help the business entities to overcome a problem of poor knowledge of the Russian market and Russian laws.

Today, on November 5, the Governments of Bashkortostan and Jiangxi Province signed an agreement on expanding cooperation. Leaders of Bashkortostan Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism and the Commission of Tourism Development of the Province signed a memorandum on cooperation.

"The first step is the most difficult, but it has already taken. Now we should augment our relations. Here, business, commerce, industry should make their efforts. The cooperation program is large and complex, but we should implement it", concluded Rustem Khamitov.
