Turkish company presented a Metrobus project in Ufa

UFA, 2 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. In Ufa a Turkish company presented a draft of the capital Metrobus transport system. With organizational support of the Agency for Investment Attraction yesterday a meeting of the management and engineers of the Gursel Turkish Company with representatives of the city administration took place. The project of Metrobus transport system construction in Ufa was discussed, the Agency reported.

The project is planned to be implemented as public-private partnership. Now Gursel prepares and carries out a feasibility study on this project. At the meeting, the Turkish partners presented the preliminary results of their work and received the information necessary for further implementation of the project.

The Gursel management applied to the Agency for Investment Attraction for assistance in implementation of the project on organization of traffic on high-speed buses - Metrobus. Due to the work carried out in July this year the city administration signed an Agreement of Intent on implementation of the investment project in the territory of Ufa. The subject of the Agreement was designing and construction of the Metrobus transport system in the capital of Bashkortostan.

Metrobus is a kind of ecological pneumatic wheeled public transport created by combining the bus and subway. By some parameters the bus rapid transit systems are comparable with light rail transit. The Metrobus system is popular in South and North America and is in high demand in Istanbul.
