All-Russian agricultural census will help in import substitution development

UFA, 30 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Olesya Seregina/. The All-Russian agricultural census in 2016 will be an important event in the country, which makes import substitution its policy. Konstantin Laikam, the deputy head of the Federal State Statistics Service told about it the journalists of regional media.

The objects of the All-Russian agricultural census, which will be held from July 1 to August 15 2016, will be agricultural organizations, peasant farms, fam enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, private subsidiary farms and other individual farms, horticultural, gardening and dacha non-profit associations of citizens.

The census program includes economic activities, labour and land resources, agricultural crops and perennial crops, livestock animals, sale of products, production infrastructure, credit and subsidies.

The peculiarity of the Russian Agricultural Census 2016 will be modern technology applied at collecting data from respondents. Tablet computers will be used in polling of citizens. Census takers will be dressed in uniforms, will have a license valid upon presentation of a passport, and a blue briefcase.

Agricultural enterprises, peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs for the first time will have an opportunity to submit information in electronic form via the web-collection system of Rosstat.

Preliminary results of the census will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2017, the final results of the census will be summed in 2018.
