More and more Russians abstain from visiting bars and nightclubs - poll

UFA, 23 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. More and more Russians abstain from visiting entertainment venues, "Kommersant" reports with reference to the results of research company Nielsen. According to research from the beginning of the year 49% of respondents do not go to bars against 28% last year, 46% - to pubs (in 2014 - 32%), and 62% - to night clubs instead of 45% last year.

The survey shows that people stopped going to these places because of total lack of money and increased prices of food and alcoholic beverages. According to them, prices rose mostly in bars and pubs.

"Visiting restaurants and bars has become a very expensive entertainment. Many people say that stopped going there without any special reason", the" Kommersant "cites the words of the representative of "Nielsen Russia" company Ekaterina Petrova.

The study was conducted in September this year in the Russian cities with populations over 1 million people. Respondents were 1000 people, who in 2014, at least once a month visited places of entertainment.
