Traffic cameras brought more than 220 million rubles to the budget in Bashkiria

UFA, 19 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Bashkortostan in the first nine months of this year the budget received more than 220 million rubles charged basing on materials of photo and video traffic cameras. Total for this period 980,000 rulings were made for which fines of more than 528 million rubles were imposed. This was announced by the Head of state public institution "Bezopasny Region" Ildar Salikhov at a meeting on improving collection of fines for violation of road traffic rules at the Chief Federal Inspector in Bashkortostan Andrey Chechevatov.
183 speed camera complexes operate in the republic and a minimum of 800 are required. The participants of the meeting discussed additional measures to increase the level of collection of fines and adopted a resolution which outlined a set of measures to improve the situation, the press service of the Chief Federal Inspector in the Republic of Bashkortostan informs.
