Bashkortostan enterprises received 420 medals at "Golden Autumn-2015" exhibition

In Moscow, Bashkortostan companies won 420 various medals at the 17th Russian Agricultural Exhibition "Golden Autumn-2015", including 287 - gold, 79 - silver and 44 – bronze ones. This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolay Kovalenko at a press conference after the agricultural forum on Wednesday.

The organizers of the exhibition appreciated the contribution of the Government of Bashkortostan in the development of the exhibition having awarded it the highest award - the Grand Prix. Bashkir Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Centre was also awarded the Grand Prix of the exhibition. Ten republican companies were highly honoured in the new competition "Quality Test" held by "the Russian quality system".

At the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev handed over state awards to 22 best farmers of the country. The honourary award was given to the representative of the agricultural complex of Bashkortostan - a farmer from Ilishevo region Firdaus Yalalov.

The exposition of our region was one of the largest and occupied 108 square meters. It included strategic investment projects and enterprises covering all sectors of agribusiness development of the republic.

"Our branded products - Bashkir honey, dairy products, the Bashkir goose, turkey meat, products of Bashspirt company, vegetables and bread – were highlighted at the exposition", said Nikolay Kovalenko.

Major agreements important for the development of agribusiness in the region were signed at the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture RB. The first agreement was signed by the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolay Kovalenko and CEO TH "Uralchim" Dmitry Peker on delivery of a large shipment of chemicals to Bashkortostan agricultural producers and providing them with comprehensive agrochemical services.

The second agreement was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB Ildar Timergalin and CEO "Bashkir Broiler" Arthur Innotaev on implementing the second stage of the project, commissioning eggs production facility with capacity of 60 million eggs per year in Alsheevo region and connecting all the necessary infrastructure to the construction sites.

The delegation of Bashkortostan, which included about 100 people, took part in a business forum, the second plenary session of the Eurasian Forum, panel discussions, and a solemn meeting devoted to the industrial festival.

This year the exhibition was attended by about 2,500 enterprises from 64 Russian regions and 24 countries that submitted more than 300 heads of farm cattle, fur-bearing animals and poultry. About 100 units of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as 195 investment regional projects from all over Russia in excess of two trillion rubles were presented there.
