Import substitution process in Bashkiria lacks a unified electronic resource and trained personnel
UFA, 29 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The process of import substitution in Bashkortostan lacks a unified electronic resource and trained personnel. These and many other issues were raised at the State Assembly RB on Tuesday, 29 September, at the round table dedicated to legislative support of import substitution in the region. The discussion was chaired by the head of the parliamentary Committee for Industry, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Rashit Khairullin.
The process of import substitution was considered in several key sectors: agriculture, industry, pharmaceuticals, IT-industry and road sector. The roundtable participants noted that the regulatory framework for import substitution in the republic was generally available. On its basis, the Government developed and approved an Action Plan ("roadmap") to facilitate import substitution in the Republic of Bashkortostan for 2015-2017. This process lacks a data bank for effective development – an integrated electronic resource or registry of specially trained professionals, innovative approach.
Rashit Khayrullin proposed to continue a discussion of this topic in the framework of the parliamentary hearings in November and expressed the need to prepare appropriate proposals by the Government, ministries and departments of the republic to amend the legislation on ensuring import substitution.
The event was attended by representatives of the committees of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB, ministries and departments, the enterprises "Gidrablika" and "Gazprom Transgaz Ufa", the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation (Ufa branch).
