Economic potential of Bashkortostan is presented at the largest SCO venue in China

UFA, 28 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The economic potential of Bashkortostan is presented at the largest presentation platform of the SCO countries in China. The exhibition of products of the SCO member-states held in the Chinese city of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in the sixth Eurasian Economic Forum, brought together 15 countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, dialogue partners and observers. The perspective directions of trade and economic cooperation and financial support, including establishment of the Silk Road Fund, the Asian Bank of Infrastructure Investments were discussed at the event. The exhibition showcased the achievements of Russian companies in the latest technologies and domestic developments.

According to the press service of the Ufa-2015 SCO BRICS Office Group, the exposition of Bashkortostan presented at the exhibition was visited by more than three thousand people. The guests of honour of the republican stand became the member of the State Council PRC Wang Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Shaanxi Province Hu Heping, Mayor of Xi'an Dong Jun, the SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev, the heads of delegations of the SCO countries.

At the initiative of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a Russian strategic session on development of multilateral trade and economic cooperation among the SCO member states in the context of Russia's presidency of the SCO in 2014-2015 was held. One of the keynote speakers was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Dmitry Sharonov with a speech devoted to economic and infrastructure potential of the republic in the development of interregional cooperation of the SCO countries.

At the sectoral panel sessions "Russia - SCO: Towards Energy Integration", "Implementation of Financial Security Mechanisms and Service Investment Projects in the SCO Economic Space" reports were delivered by the Deputy Chairman of the national part of the SCO Business Council of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the CCI RB Azat Fazlyev, General Director of the Development Corporation RB Artem Kireev, director of "Institute of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemistry" Elshad Telyashev. Reports of the Bashkortostan delegation members were devoted to finding effective instruments for financing projects in the SCO, the investment potential of our republic and possibilities of petrochemical industry in the region.

The Bashkir delegation took part in five special sessions: finance and investment, technology and manufacturing, transportation and logistics infrastructure, energy, medicine and pharmaceuticals, the press service of the Ufa-2015 SCO BRICS Office Group informs.
