VTB Bank is ready to provide a loan for reconstruction of Ufa airport domestic terminal

UFA, 31 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. The VTB Bank is considering a possibility of participating in the financing of the domestic terminal reconstruction at the Ufa Airport. This was stated by the Deputy President - Chairman of the Board of the Bank Mikhail Oseevsky at a meeting with journalists in the capital of the republic.

"One of the projects that we are interested in is reconstruction of the domestic terminal of the airport. We know that the authorities in the region are thinking about it. We have gained a lot of experience in implementing such projects. VTB is one of participants in the consortium that built the new airport in St. Petersburg. In addition, we are funding the modernization of airports in Mineralnye Vody, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Khabarovsk and Perm. We have competence; we understand how the processes should be organized", said Mikhail Oseevsky.

He also noted that the VTB planned to continue further work in the republic with the state or municipal companies. "The main thing is interaction in terms of supporting initiatives of private business, especially in investment in fixed assets. Here, we need information and understanding of the republican authorities' willingness to support these projects. This should be done through political and economic activities - interest rate subsidies, provision of other forms of support so that we can take this into account at assessing the risks of models that are offered by managers and owners", said the Deputy President - Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank.

Earlier, an agreement was signed between the Government of Bashkortostan and VTB Bank. It provides for cooperation in various fields.
