Rustem Khamitov visited MAKS 2015 International Aviation and Space Salon

UFA, 27 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On August 26, in the suburban town of Zhukovsky, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2015, which takes place at the airfield of Gromov Flight Research Institute.

The Head of the Republic visited the air show exhibition, including stands of the Bashkortostan regional branch of the Russian Engineering Union and JSC "United Engine Building Corporation" (UEC).

As part of the MAKS a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan with the General Director of JSC "United Engine Building Corporation" Alexander Artyukhov and JSC "Helicopters of Russia" Alexander Mikheyev was held.

The Head of the Region noted that the machine-building complex of Bashkortostan in the near future will be fully loaded, because its products are in demand in the aviation industry. In addition, in some foreign countries enterprises assembling the Ka-226 can be created.

Speaking about the prospects of Kumertau Aviation Company (KumAPP), Rustem Khamitov said that KumAPP’s industrial output this year would be about 8-10 billion rubles, which would be 2-2.5 times higher than the previous year.

Good results are demonstrated also by Ufa Engine Industrial Association (UMPO).

“Ufa Engine Industrial Association is gathering pace today. The company’s progress is completely different compared to what it was four or five years ago. In 2010 the UMPO output was 17 billion rubles, and today it is more than 50 billion rubles, that is more than three-fold increase in four years”, said the Head of the Republic.

The secret of success of the enterprise the Head of Bashkortostan sees in well-coordinated team of experienced professionals maintaining their competence and actively introducing innovative development.

“In general, I am sure that the Russian Federation having full-scale aircraft, aircraft engine industry with such companies as UMPO, will take its rightful place in engineering development, engineering technology in the world. It is extremely important today”, Rustem Khamitov said.
