UFA, 19 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On August 18, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSOC «Bashneft» Alexey Teksler at the House of the Republic. The parties discussed prospects of oil companies development and modernization of production facilities.
“Today we are pleased to state that a formal process for the transfer of shares is completed. Dividends are already on our account – it’s quite a big sum. For us it is very good. All of these funds - especially in the crisis year – were allocated for important, useful, necessary for our people construction projects - schools, hospitals, kindergartens, water supply lines, roads ... In fact, everything was spent on "social programs", Rustem Khamitov said.
Alexey Teksler shared his impressions of a visit to Bashneft production facilities and said that the Board of Directors was currently developing a strategy for the development of the company in the long term, which was expected to approve in September.
“The set task is, despite all the difficulties, to maintain the volume of oil production in the republic. I think that in 2015 it will be a little higher than the last year - about 16 million tons. The company plans to keep to these volumes in the foreseeable future,” said the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia. “All the projects are mature, there are certain difficulties, given the depletion, water cut of fields. However, modern methods of mining and exploration allow neutralizing this situation.”
According to him, the company's refineries are now among the leaders in the Russian Federation.
“Today they are among the best in industry in terms of processing depth, and the output of light oil products. Virtually there are no competitors. Plus Bashneft plants manufacture products of the highest, fifth environmental class,” said Alexey Teksler. “Those plans for oil refining, which we have discussed at production facilities, and now with the Head of the Region include further continuation of refineries modernization, increasing the processing depth, production of additional volume of high-margin petroleum products. Thus the company has quite serious prospects, related both to extraction and to refining, petrochemical production development, and of course, retail. We can say that today Bashneft - is one of the industry leaders, fast growing, high-tech and socially responsible company.”
