Industrial production growth is recorded in Bashkortostan

UFA, 19 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Bashkortostan, for the first seven months of this year, industrial production grew by 0.5% compared to the same period last year, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.

The Agency notes that the region has the highest growth rate in production of vehicles - an increase of 35.1% compared to January-July 2014, electrical equipment -18.7%, rubber and plastic products 17.6%. The growth in steel production is slightly less - plus 8.2% to the last year's period, in chemical industry, production of machinery and equipment - 4,1-5,5%, mining - 2.8%, textile and sewing industry, wood processing, generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water - 0.4-1.1%.

A decline is recorded in production of petroleum products - by 17.1% compared to January-July last year, other non-metallic mineral products - by 12.1%, food products, leather and footwear - by 7.3-7.6%, pulp and paper production, publishing and printing - by 4.6%.
