Gourmet restaurant dishes will be cooked from local farmers’ products in Bashkortostan

UFA, 14 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Bashkortostan, gourmet restaurant dishes will be cooked from products of local farmers. In Ufa, a series of tasting vegetables for chefs and representatives of trade was held in order to determine the desired types of products for them. According to the State Committee for Trade and Consumer Protection RB, the information will be brought to notice of local producers. They will grow the products in demand, which subsequently can be sold without intermediaries.

"Now the trading enterprise and restaurants should evaluate these products and tell how demanded they can be. We expect that our farmers having received this information from us the next year will be able to provide regional markets with their products, so we will not depend on imports. Now, many varieties of vegetables, including potatoes, are not grown in Bashkortostan, but Bashkir trade association together with the Ministry of Agriculture RB started working in this direction", the chairman of the Bashkir trade association Vitaly Cherevkov said.
