According to VCIOM (The All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre), an average citizen of Russia needs about 23 thousand rubles for a month. This figure is equal to 17.4 thousand rubles for those living in rural areas.

According to the respondents, the families where an average income per person is 13 thousand rubles can be considered as poor. In villages this figure is 10 thousand rubles.
