In Ufa Rosneft has signed a contract with the Indian Essar Oil on oil supply

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Rosneft and the Indian company Essar Oil have signed a long-term contract for supply of crude oil to India. Decisions were taken within the ongoing International Summits SCO and BRICS in Ufa. At the briefing, the Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin said that Russia would start oil deliveries after buying a stake of 49% in Essar refinery.

"We will work actively; we have mutual understanding with our Indian partners. This asset is interesting for us due to its integral nature. The plant has a marine terminal that can receive tankers with a large capacity. There is a network of gas stations, so the partnership will be based on an integrated pattern", Rosneft CEO said. According to Sechin, the Indian market is growing, and this is an extremely interesting project.

The Russian President Vladimir Putin began a series of meetings with the leaders of the BRICS and the SCO countries, as well as the invited countries. On July 8, a meeting in Ufa of the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi took place. They discussed issues of further development of Russian-Indian strategic partnership, and strengthening the innovation and high-tech components of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The Head of the State also met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the President of China Xi Jinping.
