Natural gas motor fuel use grows in Bashkiria

UFA, 22 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Bashkortostan actively transfers to gas motor fuel. This was discussed at a meeting of the special working group chaired by the Deputy Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Alsu Gainutdinova, which took place in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy RB Aleksey Karpukhin "Development of Gas Motor Fuel Market in the Republic of Bashkortostan" subprogram is developed in our region. In 2014, the republic purchased 30 units of large city buses running on gas. Also in Bashkortostan reconstruction of two CNG filling stations in Ufa was made. It is planned to build 14 CNG filling stations in the republic, including - nine in the capital, three - in Sibay and one – in Sterlitamak and Neftekamsk.

The investment for gas fueling infrastructure development in Bashkortostan since the beginning of the project amounted to 158.69 million rubles. The Government of the republic is working on the issues of compact gas-filling compressor units’ application for refueling vehicles on natural gas. Working meetings were held with representatives of "IndastriInvestmentsConsulting", LLC "Astana" - the suppliers of compact gas-filling compressor units in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Currently tax incentives procedures for gas motor fuel market participants are introduced in Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod regions.

In April this year the Russian Government canceled the maximum selling price for gas motor fuel, having considered that such a practice was a constraint for the implementation of necessary infrastructure investment projects in the industry.
