UFA, 19 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency/. Yesterday a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller was held in the framework of 19th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the press service of the Head of the Region informs. The parties discussed the implementation of the cooperation agreement and the prospects for a joint venture on production of engines for gas compressor units used in the gas industry.
“We have complete readiness regarding a launch of the joint venture”, Rustem Khamitov said opening the meeting. “The financial model is available and it requires not very large funds. Really, we will be able to make 30 to 60 units a year.”
At present, the issue of establishing at JSC "Ufa-AviaGaz" a joint venture of JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association (UMPO)", of Gazprom and the Republic of Bashkortostan for assembly, testing, repair and maintenance of engines AL-31ST for gas compressor units.
It was noted that in 2010-2014 the volume of Gazprom capital investments (including subsidiaries) in the region amounted to about 17 billion rubles. These funds were used, in particular, for the reconstruction of Kanchurin Musin underground gas storage (UGS), "Magnitogorsk - Ishimbai" and "Magnitogorsk - Sterlitamak" gas pipelines and three compressor stations.
In 2015, the volume of Gazprom capital investments is expected to reach about 4 billion rubles. The funds are provided including for the continuation of the Kanchurin Musin UGS reconstruction.
It was also marked that Bashkortostan was one of ten priority regions for Gazprom in terms of motor fuel market development. Currently, the company owns a chain of 11 CNG filling stations in the territory of the republic, two of them are reconstructed. By the end of this year Gazprom plans to build and put into operation one more CNG station in Ufa.
There is an agreement on cooperation, on increased use of natural gas as a motor fuel, as well as a Contract on Gasification between Gazprom and the Republic of Bashkortostan. In addition, in 2014 the parties signed a "road map" of the project to expand the use of high-tech products manufactured in the Republic of Bashkortostan in the interests of Gazprom.
At the beginning of 2015 the level of gasification of the republic amounted to 88.2 percent (the average in Russia - 65.4 percent).
In the framework of "Gazprom - to Children" program the company built the children’s sports school of Olympic reserve in Alpine skiing in Ufa and 16 multi-functional sports grounds in Bashkortostan.
