Call for regional business integration by Rustem Khamitov may increase economic growth pace - expert

A call for regional business integration made by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum may increase a pace of economic growth in the republic. This opinion was expressed by the Director of the Institute of Economics Bashkir State University Rustem Akhunov.

According to him, the statement of the Head of Bashkortostan was especially successful in the run-up to the upcoming Summits in Ufa: "The emphasis was made on increasing recognizability of our region. A geopolitical position of our region is very good and successful in the framework of such integration associations. I think there is a serious reserve to become a hub between Russia and the countries within the SCO. I believe that this is a new market niche and positioning of Bashkortostan as an integration element. "

The official delegation of Bashkortostan headed Rustem Khamitov takes part in the 19th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The Head of the Republic will take part in a number of panel sessions of the Forum.
