UFA, 4 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. Commuter train will be launched in Ufa in 2016. This was announced by the Director General of JSC "Bashkortostan PPK" Igor Polyaev at a business meeting on the organization of suburban passenger services and infrastructure availability of "Commuter Train" project in the territory of Bashkortostan.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the State Committee for Transport RB Ilyas Munirov, Ufa Mayor Irek Yalalov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan Elena Rodina, and other relevant experts. The meeting began at the Dema station, which is the terminus of the commuter train. In June, a reconstruction will be finished there. Terminals and cash rooms are already installed. The same renovation was held at Sportivnaya station.
The cost of the "Commuter Train" is formed of several components. Russian Railways form a transport hub, investors - an entrance area of public transport, and the city authorities reconstruct streets and outdoor lighting.
The "Commuter Train" project implementation at the site Dema - Ufa - Shaksha was started in 2013 to provide residents with transport in the city and improve the quality of passenger service. Investors take part in the project. Transport hubs suppose availability of escalators, moving walkways and elevators.

By the end of 2014, 316 million rubles were invested in the "Commuter Train" project: 240 million by Ufa administration, 76 million rubles by the Directorate of the Kuibyshev Railway.
