Vladimir Putin hopes to agree on launching the BRICS Development Bank and Currency Reserve Pool in Ufa

UFA, 3 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. At the ceremony of presentation of credentials by foreign ambassadors the Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that at the BRICS Summit in Ufa an agreement will be reached on launching the Development Bank of BRICS and Currency Reserve Pool. This is reported by the official web portal of the forum.

"The BRICS union founded in 2006 has become an influential factor in world politics and economics. Russia is interested in further deepening cooperation among BRICS member-states, forming a new mechanism of cooperation, including in financial and economic sphere. We expect to reach an agreement on starting practical activities of the BRICS Bank and the Currency Reserve Pool in Ufa", the head of state said.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that these days an additional impetus to the development of inter-parliamentary relations, humanitarian and information cooperation, intensification of contacts between trade unions and NGOs will also be given.

The BRICS Summit will be held in Ufa on July 8-10.
