Representative office of Skolkovo innovation centre is launched in Ufa

UFA, 3 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. Skolkovo Foundation and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of innovation support. By this agreement a Skolkovo innovation centre representative office with location at USPTU is created in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

"In fact, Skolkovo Centre is already running at USPTU, the agreement gave it an official status. Already now you can come to us with an innovative idea to get advice and methodological assistance in transformation of ideas into a full application to be a Skolkovo resident. Our university renders financial support to the Centre, the deputy head of Science Support and Development Fund of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the head of public relations with the business community of USPTU Sergey Gladkih informs. “The agreement provides for a joint expert work with the Skolkovo Foundation. The Ufa Centre will work on different thematic areas, and the oil and gas sector will be of federal significance, and will be "an entry point" to Skolkovo for innovators from all over Russia".

It is planned to organize a school for young innovators with inviting lecturers from Skolkovo at the representative office. So far the office has only two employees - young lecturers of USPTU, who supervise innovative projects by themselves.

Although geographically the Skolkovo office located at USPTU it is open not only for students and graduates, but for any innovator of the republic.
