Industrial production fell in Bashkortostan in April

UFA, 21 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. In the republic industrial production fell to 2.8 percent in April compared to March. Year-on-year the decline constituted 1.4 percent. These data are presented in the materials of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

At the end of four months, from January to April, industrial production in the republic slightly increased compared to the same indicator of 2014 - by 1.7 percent. In Russia as a whole a decline of 1.5 percent was recorded. In the regions of the Volga Federal District the trends varied greatly - from minus 12.8 percent in Mordovia to plus 27.7 percent in Mari El.

In Bashkortostan the increase in output is recorded in manufacture of transport equipment (by 45.2 percent compared to January-April 2014), electrical equipment (16.6), metallurgy (13.6), manufacture of rubber and plastic products (by 9,7), in chemical industry (7.5), wood processing, mining, production of machinery and equipment (3.3 - 4.0). The rates of generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water were kept at the level of January-April of last year. Less amount of leather and footwear (22 percent), petroleum products (12.8), food products (12.2) were made. The decline was also observed in pulp and paper production, publishing and printing (10.9 percent), manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (7.5), textiles and clothing (4.5).

According to statistics, for the first four months of the year republican enterprises shipped goods of their own production, performed works, rendered services to 599 billion rubles. At current prices it is by 5.8 percent more than in January-April 2014. 70 percent of this amount falls on the industrial sector.
