"Big Chemistry" ideas resulted in consolidation of small business industrial enterprises in Bashkiria - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 21 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. The decisions taken at previous forums of "Big Chemistry" found practical realization in Bashkortostan. This was said at a plenary session of the forum participants by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov.
"Due to, in particular, and our joint work at "Big Chemistry", a number of enterprises in the republic powerfully moved forward:" Bashneft "," Sibur ","Bashkir Soda Company". Enterprises of "Gazprom" are well modernized and developing. In addition, we managed to raise small and medium businesses: dozens of manufacturers, developers, suppliers of equipment, raw materials and so forth merged in clusters", Rustem Khamitov said.
Inter-regional cooperation is also getting better. According to the Head of the Republic, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan established a joint centre, which "develops approaches to the formation of small-scale petrochemical industry", it has already started working.
Among the challenges of the chemical industry Rustem Khamitov named the "Yamal - Volga region" project which "retards to a certain extent because its implementation requires huge sums - hundreds of billions of rubles".
According to the Head of the Republic, it was not managed yet to realize "clustering of large enterprises - to combine them into a single complex, as it is in some advanced countries, it is difficult both objectively and subjectively," but "there is some progress."
The "Big Chemistry" Forum is one of the key events in Bashkortostan Week of Petrochemicals that also includes the exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technology". The two-day forum and exhibition are held in the capital of Bashkortostan within the Russian Presidency of the SCO in 2014-2015, and the union of the BRICS in 2015.
The plenary session of "Big Chemistry" is broadcast live.
