13th International Exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technology" opened in Ufa

UFA, 20 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva, Elvira Latypova/. The Week of Petrochemicals in the Republic of Bashkortostan is launched in Ufa. The 13th International Exhibition "Gas. Oil. Technology", one of the key events of the Week, was solemnly opened at "VDNKh-Expo".

"Bashkortostan has always positioned itself as an oil region,” the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov said at the opening ceremony. “Today, the exhibition brought together more than 400 oil and gas sector companies from 35 regions of Russia and 12 countries of the world".

Rustem Khamitov told the guests of our republic about the preparations for the upcoming the SCO and BRICS Summits to be held in Ufa in July this year. According to him, Ufa entered the final straight in preparatory works.

The President of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia Gennady Schmal, executives of the industrial sector in the Government of the Republic, the first persons of Ufa were among the guests of the exhibition.

The exhibition features products of China, Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Romania, Belarus, Poland, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other countries. Only from China specialists of 13 companies arrived at the international exhibition. Bashkortostan is represented not only by world-renowned enterprises, but also by cluster associations. In particular, the "Quantum" geophysical cluster includes nine industrial enterprises.

During the exhibition rich business program is provided. It includes 22 scheduled events: conferences, round tables, presentations and workshops. The central event will be a round table on "Import Substitution in Energy Sector", which will begin at "VDNKh -Expo" at 13.00. The international scientific and practical conference "Industrial safety at explosive and chemically hazardous production facilities", "Oil and Gas Processing-2015" are planned.

The Week of Petrochemicals in the Republic will be followed by the 5th International Forum "Big Chemistry", which opens at "Bashkortostan" State Concert Hall on May 21.
