Best for the last 15 years climatic conditions for planting developed in Bashkortostan - Ministry of Agriculture

UFA, 12 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. The best for the last 15 years agricultural conditions in terms of moisture accumulation and temperatures developed in Bashkortostan. The optimal planting weather prevails in the republic in all regions. Given the climatic factor it is possible to plant any crops, but farmers are advised to sow spring wheat, peas and oats as a priority. This was reported on Tuesday at the enlarged meeting for the spring field work by the head of crop research and soil reclamation department of the republic Irek Surakov.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, currently spring sowing in Bashkortostan is held on the area of 465 thousand hectares, accounting for 23 percent of the plan, including grain crops and legumes sown on the area of 364 thousand hectares (28 percent of plan), sugar beet – of 15, 2 thousand hectares (31 percent), sunflower – of 43,8 thousand hectares (21 percent). The leaders in terms of sowing are farmers of Alsheevo, Dyurtyuli, Ilishevo and Krasnokamsk regions that planted about half areas designated under spring crops.
