ASI National Rating helps reducing administrative barriers to business in Bashkiria - Eugene Mavrin

UFA, 10 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. The Deputy Prime Minister RB Eugene Mavrin told reporters at a seminar of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in Ufa that the National Rating of Regional Investment Climate is pushing the republic to certain actions, including the reduction of administrative barriers to business.
The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the indicators to reduce administrative barriers to business - creation of a multifunctional centres system, bringing order in audits of small businesses, improving cadastral and tax accounting, improving the quality of roads. According to Eugene Mavrina in 2015 in the republic it is planned to repair 900 kilometres of roads and to build 550 kilometres of regional, municipal and inter-municipal roads.
The National Rating of Regional Investment Climate was launched in a pilot form in 2014. It has been tested in 21 regions. Bashkortostan was not among them, but this year the republic is involved in the rating, along with all regions of the country. According to the Corporate Director of ASI Svetlana Chupsheva, this is the first rating in Russia, which all entrepreneurs make together.
As she says, the main objective of the ASI project is to create a system allowing regions to implement reforms and to use the best practices that will help to improve the investment climate, facilitate approval procedures for investors and ensure transparency and ease of doing business.
The results of the National Rating for 2014 will be announced at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in late June.
