During the SCO and BRICS Summits 15 cellular base stations will operate in Ufa

According to the Chairman of the Republican State Committee for Information Technology and "Open Republic" Operation Rinat Shagalin, 15 mobile cellular base stations are planned to be used during the SCO and BRICS Summits to serve local traffic peak in Ufa in July 2015.

“Negotiations with mobile operators operating in the republic have been carried out just after the decision to hold Summits in Ufa,” Rinat Shagalin said. “It made possible to adjust the investment budgets of the companies and provide the necessary funding for the construction of high-quality and reliable infrastructure. Stable communication at the Summits’ venues will be provided.”

In addition, since the beginning of April 2015 hardware and software system will be commissioned that allows monitoring the quality of cellular communication in the event area, at the entrances to facilities and in transport. The systems testing will be held within three months. According to its results the problem areas will be worked out jointly with the telecom operators, the head of the department marked.
