CB devoted new commemorative silver coin to Tchaikovsky

UFA, 2 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. A commemorative silver coin "175th anniversary of birth of the composer Tchaikovsky" is released into circulation. It expanded the series "Outstanding Personalities of Russia", the press service of the Bank of Russia informs. The mass of the precious metal in purity is 15.55 g.

The coin is round in shape with a diameter of 33 mm. On the reverse of the coin an image of the famous composer is minted on the background of birch branches, stave, music score and violin. On the right there are stylized words "Tchaikovsky", below it dates in two lines "1840-1893".

The coin is made of "proof" quality. Its circulation is three thousand pieces.
