Rustem Khamitov held a meeting of the Government Commission for Consideration and Support of Priority Investment Projects

UFA, 13 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency,Iliya Spiridonov/. On March 13, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held the first meeting in 2015 of the Government Commission for Consideration and Support of Priority Investment Projects of the republic.

“The conditions that a couple of years ago were quite acceptable, now deteriorated significantly,” the Head of the Region said. “In 2012-2013, the volume of investment in the economy grew rapidly constituting from seven to eight percent per year. In the past year we added four percent per year.”

At the same time, the republic takes only the fourth place in the Volga Federal District on attracting investment and is not included in the top ten regions of Russia on this indicator. In terms of investment per capita, which is about 70 thousand rubles, Bashkortostan since 2010 has risen from 51th to 38th position. In most municipalities, this figure is significantly lower than the average.

According to Rustem Khamitov, work of the Government Commission is designed to promote new dynamic development of the investment sector in the region. For four years, it has examined 65 projects, some of which have already been implemented. Some objects will be put into operation in 2015.

Rustem Khamitov instructed the Ministry of Economic Development to prepare a concise analytical report on the projects that were implemented with a delay, behind schedule, or not started so far, indicating the reasons for this situation. In addition, the Ministry should prepare proposals for the investment activities of the largest companies in the region.

During the meeting, the Committee members discussed a possibility of providing state support to two investment projects: the construction of a hotel in Ufa and a dairy complex in Buzdyak region. They also examined the certificates, feasibility studies and tender documents for two projects on public-private partnership involving the republic: "SportsAcademy" in Sterlitamak and inter-municipal system of processing and recycling of municipal solid waste.
