Ministry of Labour of Bashkiria adjusted a forecast on jobs cuts

UFA, 13 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. The forecast of the Ministry of Labour RB on jobs cuts at republican enterprises is adjusted downward in 2015. This was reported by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection RB Lenara Ivanova.

“The forecast is adjusted. Anxious expectations of employers at the end of the last year were expressed in large figures - about 9000 jobs. But in February we held a second poll. As of March 1, the forecast is 6.5 thousand workers. Employers have calmed down, checked back their plans on cutting jobs and reduced the number of workers to be laid off by half.”

In the context of the alleged aggravation of the situation in the labour market some preventive measures are taken, such as retraining programs are implemented.

“I hope that finally all those who will be laid off, will be able to find jobs - with the help of the employment service, with new programs, including the federal governmental programs.”
