Housing construction volume rose by half in Bashkiria in January-February

UFA, 13 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. In Bashkortostan 353.9 thousand sq m of housing were built in January and February, which is by 51.6 percent more than in the same period of 2014, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

Private developers provided the commissioning of residential buildings with a total area of 232.7 thousand sq m (plus 34.6 percent compared to January-February 2014). Businesses and organizations commissioned 121.2 thousand sq m of residential area (twice as many).

Among the regions of the Volga Federal District Bashkortostan takes the second position in terms of housing after Tatarstan (424.1 thousand sq m). The three leaders also include the Samara region (343.6 thousand sq m). In terms of construction of housing per 1,000 people - Bashkortostan takes the fifth place in the Volga Federal District after Tatarstan, Samara Region, the Republic of Udmurtia and the Kirov region with an index of 87 sq m.
