Mineral products account for 87 percent of exports of Bashkortostan

UFA, 12 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. Bashkortostan exported products to 12.7 billion US dollars in 2014, which is by 4.2 percent less than in 2013. According to the Ministry of Economic Development of the republic, 86.6 percent of total exports were accounted for mineral products. 5.8 percent of exports were formed by machinery, equipment and vehicles, 5 percent – by chemical products, rubber.

The imports were 1 billion US dollars (minus 4.1 percent in 2013). Its structure was dominated by engineering products (62.5 percent from imported overseas production). Almost a quarter of total imports (23.4 percent) were chemical products, rubber, 8.4 percent - metals and metal products.

The Ministry of Economic Development RB noted decrease in revenues of exporters due to fall in oil prices.
