Uralsib Bank denied rumors on reorganization and is preparing for judicial protection of business reputation

Uralsib Bank denied the information circulated yesterday by "Gazeta.ru" on the proposed reorganization following its routine inspection by the Central Bank. "The Bank is already preparing an appeal to the court for protection of its business reputation, because it considers such publications unacceptable", it is said in the Uralsib’s statement .

The remote central office of the Uralsib Bank in Ufa reported stable position of the credit institution and, commenting on rumors of reorganization, referred to the official statement of the Bank.

The press service of the Central Bank also reported that the reorganization was not considered. "Currently, a routine checkup is conducted by the Bank of Russia at Uralsib Bank. The Bank of Russia does not discuss the question of reorganization", Interfax quotes the press service of the regulator.

On Wednesday, the "Gazeta.ru" citing "informed source familiar with the negotiations on the reorganization procedure", said that according to the results of the inspection carried out in the Uralsib Bank it "may be decided on reorganization", and that "it is a matter of the next two weeks".
