Ufa increased industrial production output by 1.4 percent in 2014

UFA, 17 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. The industrial production output grew by 1.4 percent in Ufa in 2014. This was reported at the operative meeting by Alexander Zarubin, the chief of the Department of Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the city administration.

Industrial enterprises of the city shipped goods and performed works for 637 billion rubles in 2014, which in current prices is higher than in 2013 by 10 percent. According to the shipped products Ufa occupies the first position in the Volga Federal District, and the third place - among megacities after Omsk and Perm.

163 large and medium-sized enterprises of different types of ownership form the industrial complex of Ufa. 138 of them are processing manufactures, 15 - are engaged in generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water, 10 - in mining.

As of the end of 2014 81.5 thousand people are employed in Ufa industry.
